Technically, probably a few episodes of DBZ as a kid. After that, I think I watched some of Fairy Tale based on a friend’s recommendation in high school and eventually dropped it. I just didn’t have the patience for typical shounen pacing.
I still consider the “first” anime I really watched to be Spice and Wolf. It was the first show I actually chose to watch and finished, and I still have a real soft spot for it. Tentatively excited about that reboot!
