Anyone else giving it a watch? I’ve linked to an article trashing it because it seems to be love / hate going on but coversely I’m digging it.

  • Watched it and it felt like watching Harry Potter as a kid for the first time up to about episode 7 or 8. Like a fun, fantasy epic that feels original in its own right. It was nice not feeling ownership over the story, where I know it already and have expectations for where the writer should end up. A lot of shows especially American in origin are rehashes of old series, movies or shows right now because it’s known quantity for demand.

Towards the end though it got a little easier to anticipate and more sinister. They roped in back in - without spoiling anything - thematically. I look forward to seeing a season 2.
