Recently Amazon announced it was buying and building shopping malls / shopping centres all over America. This move is interesting as Amazon has done more than most to destroy offline retail, so why would they now be buying entire shopping centres. Some are being converted into fulfilment warehouses. Others are remaining shopping outlet centres. What's their game plan here?
