This is terrible and node-ipc should not have done this. It’s shameful conduct by node-ipc authors.

making life shit for the regular citizens is going to do nothing but make life shit for the regular citizens.
there is a level of generalized sanctions that I’d support, like fucking with the Russian Central bank. but all of the attacks on Russian civilians by independent entities is really disheartening

In the statement from the NGO they threaten legal action. Is there grounds/precedent for such a thing? Don’t you use open source code at your own risk?

im of course not a lawyer,
but id expect that there might be a diffrence between stuff breaking or not working as expected, and what sounds like intentional sabotage

This is so incredibly ill-targeted. All sorts of services can be hosted in Russia or Belarus without having anything to do with the war, the governments or even being bad in any way. This is atrocious.
