I’ve often felt that doing pronoun sharing or asking for people’s pronouns only to often entirely ignore and misgender people who don’t fit the obvious mold sits in a similar space. You’re taking time to recognize something of importance, which is cool and good, but at the end of the day if all you’re doing it for is to feel better about yourself and not change anything, then why bother?
