you can also use something like inxi if you like to see hardware information on the command line.

I bet this only reliably works on undistorted, uncompressed audio. Just throw some distortion over a HQ deepfake audio and try an adversarial network based on the research of these scientists. At some point we might have to switch to fully digitally signed communication with specially trusted devices.

From the product page:

The first batch of the PineNote will be great to write software for, but not great to write notes on. Wait for a later batch with better preinstalled software if you just want to use the device as an e-reader, e-note, or your everyday computing device.

Was ist dein Threat Model?

I had an iPad Pro 1st gen and I can just say you should not underestimate the power of a proprietary ecosystem and that I don’t have an iPad pro anymore.

I’d rather buy a ReMarkable just to not support Amazon being a shitty company.

How is it possible that you believe that one is true but not think about the other? Meat consumption and its effects need to be made much more clear to the public, it seems.

I watched a video by Vox today where they said that the overwhelming majority of the water usage in very dry areas of the USA is used to irrigate feeding material for cows: Who’s really using up the water in the American West?

> For developers, there is no debate. The future of the database is open source. A glance at the 2022 Stack Overflow survey of around 70,000 code-wranglers shows nearly all pros use one of the two leading open source RDBMSes, PostgreSQL (46.5 percent) or MySQL (45.7 percent), although they use other systems as well.

This talk is a hands-on introduction to fuzz testing. After a basic introduction to fuzzing we will give a live demonstration of our open source fuzzing tools, supporting C/C++, Java, JavaScript and Go. They will showcase modern state-of-the-art fuzzing approaches and demonstrate the different kinds of bugs one can detect. To get everyone on board we will take a short tour through the history and fundamentals of fuzzing before we look at the current state of fuzzing including code instrumentation for coverage guided fuzzing and bug detectors. We will find out what kind of bugs and vulnerabilities can be found with these techniques. We will do this by taking a look on how we use this modern approaches at Code Intelligence (Bonn, https://www.code-intelligence.com/) to make fuzzing as easy as writing unit tests, including demonstrations of our OSS tools Jazzer (https://github.com/CodeIntelligenceTesting/jazzer) and cifuzz (https://github.com/CodeIntelligenceTesting/cifuzz).

PSA: if you switched from Pulseaudio to Pipewire (or started to use Pipewire), change the resample quality to reduce audio distortion (e.g. crackling, hissing)
Why do they even include settings by default which introduce crackling and hissing noises? I found that even starting with `resample.quality = 7` I couldn't hear any difference, younger people (like teenagers) might be able to distinguish 8-9. Maybe use 8 as a default value?

Build of [Proton](https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/) with the most recent bleeding-edge proton experimental [WINE](https://www.winehq.org/). Things it contains that Valve's proton does not: * [DXVK](https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk) patched with Async, which can be toggled with DXVK_ASYNC=1 * Additional media foundation patches for better video playback support * AMD FSR patches added directly to fullscreen hack that can be toggled with WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 * FSR Fake resolution patch (details here: #52) * Nvidia CUDA support for phsyx and nvapi * Raw input mouse support * Fix for Mech Warrior Online * Fix for Asseto Corsa HUD * Fix for MK11 crash in single player * Fix for Killer Instinct Vulkan related crash * Fix for Cities XXL patches * 'protonfixes' system -- this is an automated system that applies per-game fixes (such as winetricks, envvars, EAC workarounds, overrides, etc). * Various upstream WINE patches backported * Various wine-staging patches applied as they become needed
