Oh, Basti… It’s been a while.
Shrouded by night, but with steady stride.

Oh, Basti… It’s been a while.

Awww I’m so happy for you! some of our lovely community regulars over at the Matrix channel are organizing a seamless coop thing tomorrow! If you’d like to join them. Or if not now maybe in the future… It’d be great to have you there
It’s missing some grilled nopales and onions

Good pick, I was thinking of Orphan( and perhaps Ebrietas ) as well. Different kind of tragic and sad though, further removed from our human player perspective.

Oooofff. Both your picks are very emotionally charged… Lies of P definitely has some strong tearjerker moments. Romeo, and both the final boss fights (base game and DLC) in a way, due to the emotional buildup to them…
Not a boss fight but fighting Blaidd in ER diffinitely was a gut punch as well.

Been very out of it when it comes to games, awfully slow and unfocused but will try to resume khazan. Paused it at the Rangkus fight, very entertaining having to manage his stance break recovery… I really like humanoid fights like that one. and probably my favourite area of the game so far.

Lies of P is fantastic! If you give it a try we’d love to hear your thoughts on it!

Enotria is not a bad game, but combat is a bit clunky at times. (Not a smooth ride like Lies of P or Khazan). Still, I finished it and had a good time with it. A souls vet such as yourself would certainly have no major problems with it, I think. :)
Also, did you finish the Lies of P DLC? Did you enjoy it?

Aw I wnted to writr a better answer for this. but I’m tired and not making sense.:P and most has been already well explained.
Bloodborne. .It is so visually over the top, its a world that’s not really meant to be looked at too closely. it’s cluttered, the cofusing, and asphixiating nature of its design echoes the nightmares . that ambience engulfs us while we begin navigating a tale of woe, but at the same time, the pinkish color grading provides a sort of relief… A soothing feeling that tames all the grotesque tragedy which we initially are confronted with. And of what lies beyond our comprehension. I for one, cannot help to find that comforting.

I guess not, tags are still in a beta version afaik. :P

Fuck yeah, brb. Gotta get my best headphones

Yeah, I like having to go back to the dream ( to some extent)but some functionality like weapon repair at a lamp or accsess to storage like you say would be seriously awesome. We’ve been so spoiled by ER.
On the weapon repair thing… Yeah It’s incredible that they omitted giving us consumable for it.
I’m probably in the super minority when I say this, but I don’t care that much about 60 fps in Souls games.
I agree that a steady frame rate is better… And I was in the same camp as you for a long time but each time I go back to the game it’s kinda harder to justify… Like it’s such a minor thing, why can’t we have this?
There’s a lot of little QoL tweaks that could be a super welcome update in BB. I’m a clown and I still hold hope for a FS remaster u.u

Bloodborne:
Maybe one of these:
fast travel within each headstone without visiting the dream
add a “stake of Marika” for the Shadows of Yharnam / Martyr Logarius fights.
remove regular weapon durability and leave it only.as a cursed blood gem handicap.
actually:
–60 FPS PATCH
what the heart really wants:
add Micolash romance option tied to a secret ending. XD

Hey! You finally make an appereance XD

I’m summoning y’all

The most badass thing I’ve seen all year.

It’s going to be pretty minimalistic so I’ll tackle it myself :P
Historically, it’s been big, life consuming RPGs like the witcher 3, but I just can’t seem to be able to sink my teeth into one lately, my latest attempt being Kingdom Come Deliverance, Which currently sits on the - unfinished games- limbo. Great game and story, just not clicking with some mechanics.
Also rogue-lites. ( currently - I guess I can count it as one- Withering Rooms, amazing game that has been recommended before in the sub.) Which I’ve been playing while taking a break from Khazan.
the alternative also being not playing videogames at all, sometimes for years at a time.
