A team of researchers from British universities has trained a deep learning model that can steal data from keyboard keystrokes recorded using a microphone with an accuracy of 95%.
Correct me if I’m wrong but worrying about this seems silly to me, especially if you’re not a mac user.
In order to be accurate the AI would have to be trained on data from the exact model keyboard you have. So you’d have to know exactly what model keyboard your target uses, and get one yourself, then record and analyze all of the keystrokes.
I’m sure at some point in the future some crazy person will create a database of every keyboard known to man and then maybe all bets are off, but right now it just seems like a lot of work for something that can be achieved in other ways. Am I missing something?
