Removed Comment Fix the police? Why are you insinuating our courageous public servants need to be fixed? These heroes go out everyday and put their lives in danger to keep society safe! How dare you! by BarrelAgedBoredom ( BarrelAgedBoredom@lemm.ee )

Removed Comment It's not albiesm to say that people should contribute to society. I even directly said "according to their ability" in the comment above that was removed without explanation. You're quoting my own words back at me and acting like it's a disagreement. It is exceptionally rare for someone to be so severely disabled that they are incapable of contributing anything, and in those situations society should help people according to their needs. Being unwilling isn't a disability, it's a bad attitude. Edit: I'll ask you again since you're avoiding the question and instead just issuing personal insults, what do you derive your value from if not your actions and contributions to the society, community, or family you're a part of? It's a genuine question that isn't being answered. by SokathHisEyesOpen ( Anticorp@lemmy.ml )

Removed Comment So in your imagined utopia you can lay around, contribute nothing to the society you're a part of, and still have value? What is your value derived from? In socialist and communist societies, you have to contribute. The difference is that in one system the workers own the means of production, and in the other you're all contributing according to your means, and receiving according to your need. No workable ideology allows for people to contribute nothing and leech from the efforts of others except for capitalism and monarchy. by SokathHisEyesOpen ( Anticorp@lemmy.ml )
