Removed Comment >That's nice. I asked you why you chose to cherry pick the article and take partial quotes That's the relevant part you muppet >Even if the Government meets its target of 1.5 million homes over the course of the parliament, analysis from the Office for Budget Responsibility estimates that under current government policy, increasing rents will cancel out all average wage growth until at least the end of the decade — meaning no improvement in affordability. That makes no sense. Increasing supply will reduce prices and people buying houses are not paying rent. by deHaga ( deHaga@feddit.uk )

Removed Comment > According to records kept by the Ministry of Defence, four Shihuh tribesmen were interrogated in January 1971 at the notorious Bait-al-Falaj fort in Muscat. They were subjected to now banned methods of torture which involve sensory deprivation, such as completely covering someone’s head with a sack and bombarding them with noise. Now banned. Both sides handle things wrong but since oct 7 i kind of understand israel. Removed Comment Except there's not one person crossing in a small boat who is a good person. They are deliberately paying people trafficking gangs to take them over from France. At best, they are just trying to game the immigration system and skip the queue to do it the "easy way" instead of playing by the rules. At worst, they are coming over to take advantage of us and maybe even commit crimes. The good immigrants, such as people who want to contribute as skilled workers and be part of our society come in the legal route. If the legal route doesn't let them, then they simply stay put or go somewhere else that will accept them. Migrants are definitely, definitely not an inherently bad thing. Asylum seekers even (I believe the majority of them are generally people who have come here legally, circumstances have changed and uh oh, they unfortunately cannot return home) aren't a bad thing. But these "channel-hoppers" are definitely not good people. Even the legal migrants hate them and people trying to move here legitimately hate them because they're having to work hard to earn a position here, while they're gaming the system. People who want to game the system to get here definitely shouldn't be welcome here. The channel-hoppers aren't going to speak out for us, the reason they're here is because they committed a selfish act. by HM King Charles III DG FD ( Flax_vert@feddit.uk )
