Thomas has close relationships with many wealthy members of this organization who have given him access to luxury vacations, sporting events, and parties. Some of these members have also financed a documentary defending Thomas. Critics argue these benefits and close ties create conflicts of interest and ethics issues for a Supreme Court justice.

I doubt there will ever be a line so egregious that it’d cause conservatives to support replacing him with anyone even marginally better
