hoot ( @hoot@lemmy.ca ) 7•1 year agoI don’t understand why the NDP continue to be so popular in BC. They are liars, and are continually working against the public interest for things like forestry and climate change (LNG anyone?). Is it just because there are no other options?
Victor Villas ( @villasv@beehaw.org ) 8•1 year agoFor me, yes. I’ll have to vote for these same liars over and over to keep Cons and United out. They (NDP) do get some things right once in a while, so it’s a small victory.
corsicanguppy ( @corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca ) 3•1 year agoThe rules don’t change.
- Vote the party who stands the best chance on delivering a net-positive platform, even if it’s the best of a bad bunch.
- Repeat.
It’s like evolution: with enough iterations, we will grow a good administration.
This means that we vote in the party we do, not because they’re good, but because these disenfranchising liars and racists and sellouts are the least-worse.

Rentlar ( @Rentlar@lemmy.ca ) 5•1 year agoConservatives and BC United are shit parties… still I wish the BCNDP were more coherent on forestry, LNG, other natural resources and drugs. They’ve at least addressed the housing question in ways no other provincial government in Canada has.
