The Tenant Union Federation is a union of unions organizing tenants to wield power at a massive scale, to bargain for tenant protections, to disrupt the flow of capital to those who commodify our homes, to secure alternatives to the current housing market, to guarantee housing as a public good, and to establish tenants as a political and economic class that cannot be ignored.
Hell yeah! I hope they continue to get ‘TUF’ on bad housing policy… 😎
This is so badly needed. I hope they get good traction. Not only do renters get stiffed all the time by outrageous rents/rent increases and illegal non-return of security deposits (and more!), there are also people who sincerely believe that renters shouldn’t even be allowed to vote because they’re “not invested in the community”.
Makes me livid.
