Watch in real time as all the subreddits shut down.
kent_eh ( @kent_eh@lemmy.ca ) English4•2 years agoI suspect most will go dark at midnight in the lead mod’s timezone, not necessarily 12:00 UTC/GMT
Agreed. Though there was a huge wave at 12:00 UTC, which was kinda weird to watch. Much like watching a car crash happen in front of you, it’s awful but you can’t look away.
Watch for a huge wave of subreddits going dark at 12:00 AM UTC, which is about twenty minutes from the time I’m writing this comment.
girlfreddy ( @girlfreddy@lemmy.ca ) English2•2 years ago91.6% of subreddits are dark. O.O
That’s freaking amazing!
Jerkface (any/all) ( @jerkface@lemmy.ca ) English1•2 years agoI think that’s merely the percentage of the subreddits that pledged to go dark which have gone dark, not out of all subreddits overall.
Album ( @Album@lemmy.ca ) English1•2 years agoI feel like reddit going down has made lemmy.ca go down also
Hmm, that’s odd. I haven’t seen any issues yet from here with lemmy.ca
Album ( @Album@lemmy.ca ) English1•2 years agoIt’s been working ok other than one single comment on this instance I couldn’t reply to. The reply button would change to a waiting symbol and then it wouldn’t post even though I could make comments on other threads.
edit: i got a 404 while responding to this thread.
