Diablo IV would be the second game to support the technology behind Square Enix’s Forspoken.

You don’t have a choice. That has been happening for a long time now.

I don’t really care from a DRM standpoint, but I’m a little annoyed from a privacy standpoint and a “this game continues to work in the future after the company goes belly-up” standpoint.

I just read they have been ddos’d and you can’t play the game. I hate online gaming.

Consumers absolutely have a choice. Stop buying unfinished AAA games that have intrusive DRM and the problem solves itself.
I haven’t bought a game with Denuvo or similar always-on schemes in… probably about 6 years. I do plenty of PC gaming.

I think the last aaa game I bought was cyberpunk. I specifically bought it on gog. I’m at a point where modern games are just too much for my pc to really handle. I think I’m kinda burnt out on modern gaming.
Thankfully we have emulators and can still game without the need to deal with all the modern day bs.

Wasn’t forspoken an absolute performance desaster, when it launched? Then again, maybe a halfway properly implemented game could benefit from it eventually.

Doesnt it need to be developed from the ground up with that in mind? If that is the case, then why doesnt it have direct storage already?
