jgrim of Sublinks ( @jgrim@discuss.online ) English2•1 year agoLet me know if anyone needs help setting this up. I can also help guarantee your instance.
We need some frontend dev to make a fancy UI :D
jgrim of Sublinks ( @jgrim@discuss.online ) English1•1 year agoIt doesn’t have to be too fancy. It could just be a simple Bootstrap 5.0 thing. Just needs to function for now.
infinitevalence ( @infinitevalence@discuss.online ) English1•1 year agoBTW thanks y’all are doing important work to make the transition off Reddit a real possibility.
infinitevalence ( @infinitevalence@discuss.online ) English1•1 year agoI still need to figure out why I can’t get past my firewall…

ericjmorey ( @ericjmorey@discuss.online ) English1•1 year agoCan you dumb this down for me? How is this supposed to help?
It’s useful data. You can see which domains have been checked by others as not-spam and which have been endorsed by other instances. How you use this data is up to each instance, but once it grows large enough it could be used for spam detection, or for whitelisting.
ericjmorey ( @ericjmorey@discuss.online ) English1•1 year agoSo the determination is whether the entire instance is spam or not?
For guaranteess, yes. Either being dedicated to spam, or overrun by spam accounts etc
