quindraco ( @quindraco@lemm.ee ) 1•10 months agoCivil courts have a lower standard of proof than criminal. That’s why when a civil court found that Trump had raped Carroll, he didn’t automatically go to prison. Same deal here: the relevant tax fraud would still need to be proved in criminal court.
