*...The result is that magnetars are around a hundred times more luminous than the Sun, but they generate all that radiation from a volume roughly the size of Manhattan.*

I’m not their target market, because if anyone asked me I’d say krita/inkscape/affinity apps.

Best case given P5 did well and they released a 2018 P3 Dance game. Would make a great interim installment while waiting for 6.

Sadness but it is a Xbox + Bethesda Showcase so any talk about a PSX version wont be happening. Have been keen to give 3 a thrash (not the portable version)

Begone said the game (no tablet/phone version)

I remember at the time there were was a thread about which was the better game between TLOU2 and Ghosts of Tsushima, with the majority going for GOT. Having played that one, personally not so sure…

Finally getting around to giving this a thrash. Enjoying it a lot - as a straight continuation it extends the first making use of the much improved hardware (algae in the water!) The death that kicked things off was well done I'm keen to see where things go.

Do you have to max out a character to have a good time with a game?

Following Diablo Immortal’s early launch, the game does indeed seem to be a “true Diablo experience” in more ways than not. The community began praising the core gameplay loop almost immediately upon release.

I guess players can always ask for their free to play money back.

Which FF did you play? For me I was quickly bored with FF13, and it took a loooong time to get through FFXV (but royal helped) and FF7R I found enjoyable. All very different gameplay styles.

Diablo III has always been good fun, though I have only played the original release.

That is the whole point of federated communities - you don’t have to be on lemmy.ml to engage with lemmy content. To understand what lemmy.ml is about see this meta post.

If you were to try setting up an account on another instance I think you wouldn’t find it complicated at all. If the instance federates with lemmy, the lemmy.ml posts are available via ALL on posts and the lemmy communities can be accessed via the ALL button on communities. It’s fantastic.

Or join a generalist instance that federates with lemmy.ml but not lemmygrad as an option. Eg there is difference in /all content when viewed from lemmy.ml vs say sopuli. Beehaw also has a generalist sci community.

Aah that’s good to see I was referencing IGN/PCWorld/Gamespot scores, Enjoyed more than the comparative Dying Light not a must play.

I was just thinking about how I would love to see a continuation of this. Only played as a ps plus title and it wasn’t until my third attempt that I was into it, but looking at the scores of 5/6.5 out of 10 I don’t get the hate. It did not blow my mind but not many AAA games do these days. I

The guy who had to grab peoples hands to shake them was voted out? Of course there was more to it than thats something that sticks.

Would love to get my hands on a zune hd though have never seen or used one. I think MS now would have a cachet launching a product like that post Xbox than they did at the time.

I have not looked to use Inkscape much since it didn’t have multiple artboards - well that has changed so I need to give it a thrash at some stage

Useful examples to help get your head around grid.

Love this photographers use of light and textures

Having a feiend with a switch and BOTW would be nice. Personally i cant get om board with mobile games due to touch but pehaps thats due to not growing up with mobiles.

While I dont have a switch as a GC fan I’m happy to see it continue to do well.

Fourth highest selling console ever. Nintendo having two of the top four slots.

Fair point but shooters have always used subject matter as window dressing.

The algorithm is totally opaque code and some some social media already limits your posts to a part of your subscribers and even not hide that: you have to pay for reaching … your subscribers .

I do feel for artists who have to try to make their living like this but at the same time I wish more artists (not just pepper and carrot) would bring their content to federated networks - to grow another social option and audience for their work. Same thing goes for companies who only use AdWords / fb etc.

Not sad tbh, had its time, but when it was in its prime it was a great bit of hardware, compared to the hardware I had earlier. Software though, no fond memories of that.

Second follow up - There is a good question here in that you want to engage on the lemmy platform, but did not necessarily land on the right server. I note that if you try to sign up on lemmy.ml it states at the top of the sign up page Before you register on lemmy.ml, please have a look at Joinlemmy to see if there is an instance that better fits your region, language or interests. Did you look at this page or go past and quickly jump on to see what things were about. Did you look at the content posted on lemmy.ml before deciding to join?

Lemmy the platform is diverse, lemmy.ml is not, but it doesn’t pretend to be. Did you look at the list of instances on https://join-lemmy.org/instances when choosing which one to join?

I guess it depends on the type of content do you want to engage in and what type of political discourse are you looking to engage in. Exploding-heads.com and wolfballs.com might be options, and beehaw.org has a politics section if you feel the need to engage. Also consider what instances the server blocks via the instances link at the bottom of the page when visiting.

Personally id love to see generalist instances push political discourse to gotalkitout https://gtio.io/c/politics which is a instance dedicated to discussion and currently does not block any instance.

Bakchodi.org is the third largest lemmy

Data permanence
Excluding existing archiving sites, do you have an expectation or think that data stored on lemmy should be permanent? E.g last 20+ years. Would it matter if old inactive content was culled? If you had the ability to export data if a sever was due to go down, what would you actually do with it.

Always enjoy learning bits about Wolfenstien/Doom/Quake era.
