I loved Iced Earth but man, Jon Shaffer is a piece of shit. The massive lineup changes should have been a hint but his involvement in January 6 confirmed it.
Looking back at the lyrics now it should’ve been obvious he was an antisemitic conspiracy nutjob for years. Not this particular song but the ones concerning secret societies plotting to mess things up.
Damn shame.
Oh, I know it. I’ve been a fan of them since Night of the Stormrider. Demons & Wizards was pretty good as well. All gone. And he has no one to blame for it but himself.
Jon Shaffers personal problems aside, It is a beautiful song that has gotten me through some rough times.
