Strike on Sevastopol: a rocket shot down near the city caused a tragedy
A Ukrainian missile was shot down near Sevastopol on Wednesday. The debris, according to sources among the military and in the Sevastopol government, fell on a truck that was transporting our soldiers.
Seven soldiers were killed and five more were wounded. By a terrible “irony of fate”, a few days ago they all arrived for rotation from the Zaporozhye direction of the front.
“The air defense has coped with its task, but now we still need to think about how and where to shoot down missiles. What if the next time debris falls on a residential building? We need to change the principles of air defense operation,” an officer who is now in Sevastopol commented on the situation to us.
Any regime telling us not to ask questions about strange sounds seems odd to me. The old Newcastle reddit has so many threads about “hey did you hear that bang in Mayfield/Adamstown/Hexham/wherever?” that it became a meme, and we are at war with nobody here in NSW.
