Disclaimer: I haven’t played Fractals since Anet nuked ArcTemplates. Started them half a year ago because I helped a friend and have ran them daily ever since, starting out at T1 and all the way up to T4 so my friend could learn them and get AR and whatnot. Thank the Lord for my half-static of two others who happen to always run around somewhat the same time, so I wasn’t completele forlorforsaken. If I were to have to do that bollocks entirely by myself, I’d drop that shite like hot coals. And no, getting an actual static and working my day around the game is not an option.

What I noticed is the utter insanity that has taken hold of the “community”. What is it with people being drastically under-AR’d trying to get into high-level fractals? It’s enough of a bother to check if that 137 or 126 AR guy has enough AR for the highest-level daiyl today, because people are raging cunts and will lie straight into your face, but arguing about dodging everything with 109 AR at Silent Surf? Fucking hell.

Todays highlight was a group where two our of three PUGs ran after me, a Mesmer, at Volcanic, while the initial Grawl event was still ongoing. Yes, I was preparing the portal at 50%. Yes, one of them ran all the way back up. The other stood around like a deer in headlights and then used my portal after I gave up and went back to do it myself.

Fucking hell.

This is why I usually require 3x5 fractal potions in my groups. Not only is it a very basic, relatively non-toxic requirement, but it’s also good to filter out these people, usually. (sane new players still join & that is fine)

Part of me is tempted to do the same. But then again I’d have to go through all the bullshit that makes me avoid “difficult” content. Bitch at people, vote kicks, don’t get enough people to agree, leave, create a new, block everyone and their mum and therefore get even less access to LFG, and so on, and so forth. Not worth it, I’ll probably rather not play at all than having to be a cunt all morning just to get people to not be fucking bastards and morons.

Yes, kicking does not work. However what I do is that I don’t press ready until everyone has the pots on in the Fractal Lobby. “XY Charrface I’m waiting for your potions, please pop them.”

However, how many times do they kick YOU for blocking the group? 😁

Not once out of hundreds of groups and over 50 “I’m waiting for you friend Bearbow” occurrences.
What did happen many times is that people think I’m an idiot for writing such an lfg & merge on me thinking I’ll just take it lying down. There are a surprising number of people that just want to rush to Fractal God so much so that they don’t want to waste currency on Omnipotion and regular potions & that’s a crowd that overlaps a lot with the folks you were describing in your original post.

Example lfg: ‘T4s. dps, qdps or aheal / 3x5 frac.pots.’ I don’t hate quick-heals etc, but the point is that I can only play those 3 things, so whatever support joins I can fill whatever else is needed.

I, too, would like to have the karma of a Buddha. The last time I got kicked out of my own group was when I told someone to stop switching to higher-level Swampland. (It had Afflicted.)
