This is separate from the API issue. This will actually BLOCK you from even viewing reddit on your phone without using the official app.

can’t they just change the mobile browser experience in the way that the shareholders want? i don’t understand forcing people onto the app
App can mine more data which is the real product.
The way reddit is behaving, if they think anyone is going to let their dirty lil mining app on their device, they’re drunk.
Unfortunately that’s probably a majority of users.
