minus-square wildginger ( @wildginger@lemmy.myserv.one ) linkfedilink36•8 months agoCan we just disolve as a nation already? Start an auction state by state to different countries? Clearly we cannot manage the simple act of self governance. The experiment is over and we failed.
minus-square Cylusthevirus ( @Cylusthevirus@kbin.social ) linkfedilink16•8 months agoHonestly I’m here for a CA/OR/WA Western seaboard alliance. Hawaii can go back to being governed by natives but can ally with us.

minus-square blindsight ( @blindsight@beehaw.org ) linkfedilink4•8 months agoI think some of the northeastern states could likely form a similarly powerful and cohesive country. Alberta can join Montana and the Dakotas if they hate Canada so much. Maybe BC could join the Western Seaboard, too. It’ll probably never happen… but who knows? The relative stability of countries and international borders is a recent phenomenon.
minus-square Skwerls ( @Skwerls@discuss.tchncs.de ) linkfedilink1•8 months agoI’m all for this too. The Western landlocked states would be screwed not having access to the Pacific ports as well.

Unless CA could convince OR/WA to give them more water, the inland states are critical for freshwater here.

Laughs in Colorado
