    Something like 70% of Reddit is currently dark according to the Reddark website, and I suspect that many of them will stay that way longer than 48 hours. r/Professors didn’t seem interested in supporting the effort to change u/spez’s mind, so I’m very excited to have a place here.

      I was really surprised to see r/professors wide open and not actively discussing the situation with Reddit (at least not that I saw). You just assume that academics are going to be on the progressive side and challenging of institutional power structures.
