In-game items, cosmetics, expansions and the like aren’t really what this community is for, I’m trying to keep it to full games that you can claim. There are so many free to play games that give away extras and I don’t want that to drown out the full games. Are you alright if I remove this post?
FWIW, while Destiny 2 is free to play, the actual game is in the expansions. D2 is basically a playable demo with add-on campaigns that you have to buy.
The expansions are dozen hour campaigns and are the game. I think a good litmus would be whether a title has a HowLongToBeat page, which this legacy collection of expansions has three.
While these require a base-game to play, expansions on MMO-style games are quasi-games unto themselves. It’s kinda difficult to explain, but the base game isn’t really actively updated and gets no new content while campaign gets added by these expacs. Expacs are what players of these games wait for beyond anything.
I assume it’s not epic’s normal weekly giveaway as they usually do that on Thursday, but the consensus seems to be that this is basically a proper game so happy to leave it up
It requires the base game (which is free)
and adds several paid expansions as well as some extras
That collection is normally priced at $59.99

Oh interesting, so is this the full game then? Or is it just a little extra bit of demo?

OK fair, well if people think it’s a proper game then happy to leave it up!
Is it worth playing casually on your own or is it one of those games where you need a group and to devote your life to it?
End-game is party-based raids, but it’s fine to go through casually for the campaign as a solo player.
I dunno, it’s the current giveaway on Epic Games for the next week, up to you…
