In a new report, multiple animators who worked on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse describe Phil Lord’s overreaching, erratic management style as the source of unsustainable working conditions.
That’s a major bummer because one of the things that made the first film great was that they developed a lot of the technology they used to ease the burden on animators. Sounds like they immediately turned around for the second film and said, “Now that you have all this technology making your job easier, you should go back to your old working conditions and put out even HIGHER QUALITY WORK!”
