It gets removed under the SSN …and deposited into the holder of that numbers account- the anecdotal example I knew of was one SSN had at least 25 people associated with that number, and that persons number is ‘null’ as in the person passed away before they could collect, but that account still receives the $. I would assume it just goes into the general fund eventually…but ? not sure about that.
