Nice to group the US, working with police in foreign countries to help protect endangered animals and helping US citizens, with China, working inside foreign countries to make sure Chinese citizens aren’t disloyal to China. I mean, this has been going on for hundreds of years, going back to the imperial and colonial eras of western power and beyond. Look at the Dutch/British East India Cos, the banana republics, etc. It’s nothing new for larger powers to exert their influence on the developing world.
Seems like these great powers - USA and China - are both increasingly operating outside their national borders.
