Isn’t the whole point of Electron that it is cross platform, not that it is fast or resource efficient?

Is this approach cross platform (meaning does it have Linux support for example) or are they talking about just Windows support? Isn’t the whole point of Electron that it is cross platform, not that it is fast or resource efficient?
