According to the Wall Street Journal, iPhone users are increasingly finding reasons to choose Apple Maps over Google Maps, with some customers commending its clear public transport directions and visually appealing design.
Does it not send your precise location to Apple?
The way that GPS works, it does not have to.
Your phone just receives satellite signals and them triangulates its location. But to be fair, find my phone is one on just about everyone’s device. Additionally, google still knows exactly where you are.
I didn’t say a map can’t work without sending precise location data to Apple. I’m just skeptical that Apple would leave valuable data on the table and not collect it.
