Thousands of people overran Union Square Park and surrounded lanes of traffic Friday as a popular Twitch streamer held a video game giveaway.

Yeah, I don’t even live in the state and I picked up on it due to my scanner app alerting me to a sudden influx of listeners in the area. It’s a great way to hear about events before they get reported on.
