The crazy dollar figures are using drug bust math. Nobody would be stupid enough to bring back so much material at once and flood the market and tank the value.

At first, we’ll get small deliveries sold at “market value” that compete with Earth-based mining and don’t really affect the pricing. It’ll get really interesting if/when asteroid mining is the cheaper option.
