Or do you not use one? If so why?
potpie ( @potpie@beehaw.org ) English10•2 years agoWhere I work just switching into a TTY would be enough to keep anyone out.
eneff ( @eneff@discuss.tchncs.de ) English7•2 years agoWhatever comes with GNOME/gdm.
bomgar ( @bomgar@feddit.de ) English6•2 years agoI use i3 lock, scrot and imagemagik to make my lock screen a blurred version of my actual screen
SigHunter ( @SigHunter@feddit.de ) English6•2 years agoKscreenlocker because it came as default and I made it look identical to sddm
Meow.tar.gz ( @ablackcatstail@lemmy.goblackcat.com ) English4•2 years agoBy screen locker, what do you mean exactly? Do you mean a setting that automatically locks your screen after a preset amount of time? If so, yes I do.
bbbhltz ( @bbbhltz@beehaw.org ) English4•2 years agoI just use XScreenSaver because I haven’t ever looked into changing it.
everett ( @everett@lemmy.ml ) English3•2 years agoRight? XScreenSaver is awesome.
ganjalf ( @ganjalf@lemmy.ml ) English3•2 years agoslock. i don’t really use anything else from the suckless people, but i like how minimal slock is
X3I ( @x3i@lemmy.x3i.tech ) English3•2 years agoSwaylock, but the one with effects. Using it to leave a blurred picture of the current screen without anything readable. Works well for two years now, is wayland only
DolceTriade ( @DolceTriade@programming.dev ) English3•2 years agoI’ve always used i3lock. I also made a script to randomly select a background. Plus the login password circle thing looks cool. Would definitely recommend.
nani8ot ( @nani8ot@lemmy.ml ) English2•2 years agoWaylock, because it keeps sway locked even if the screen locker crashes.
FarLine99 ( @FarLine99@lemm.ee ) English2•2 years agoSDDM 0.20 Wayland mode is awesome!
theshatterstone54 ( @theshatterstone54@feddit.uk ) English2•2 years agoNone currently, because I live with my family and if I wanted to hide anything from them (which I don’t), I could just switch to a tty, or log out. Most of my work is done in VSCodium or Vivaldi, which save their sessions, although I have considered doing one just in case.
dlarge6510 ( @dlarge6510@lemm.ee ) English2•2 years agoNone.
Why? Erm, living by myself I don’t need to lock myself out ;)
Grass ( @Grass@geddit.social ) English1•2 years agoThere was one I used to use that just made the screen black and had no visuals to indicate typing or anything working. Typing the correct password and hitting enter would unlock. I think there was some thing about it not being secure after some shift in typical Linux distro defaults and now I just use the default kde locker because lazy
Furycd001 ( @Furycd001@fosstodon.org ) 1•2 years ago@senslayer As a longtime XFCE user, I’ve mainly used xflock4. I’ve tried others over time, but xflock4 is the one that I’ve used the most…
