Watched the first episode today. By the end it was maybe growing on me.
But that sprawling 50 wing palace our young dude spent a few years in… Lad could have spent every night in a different bedroom and still not have seen the entire place. Butler would need GPS and a tracker on the guy’s phone. That Sis back home was really determined to keep him there if she was bankrolling that kind of royal level extravagance 😂 Henry VIII parked his kids there, so I suppose it’s sort of fitting.

Question about a small part of Episode 4 (I think). Very minor not really a spoiler but I’ll hide it just in case.
spoiler
Posh Boy is sat on a curb with a police officer, who starts singing. I had guessed that the actor (Jin Seon-kyu) playing the police officer was a former boy band singer but his bio doesn’t have anything like that. Was it a song from Posh Boy’s group? Was it mostly just a fangirl moment?
My knowledge of K-pop is largely limited to following one person who got heavily into the BTS thing, rooting for the K-pop kids when they joyously sabotaged far right hashtags on Twitter, and occasionally changing my handle to something like “Ambrose Thomas stan account” (a lesser known opera composer who wrote the most delicious music for a reworking of Hamlet) as a joke on myself for getting really excited about things most people haven’t heard of. Like trying to entice my thoroughly unadventurous neighbours into watching some K- or C-drama.
Anyway, the song moment seemed like it was an in-culture reference and I’m just curious.

Dropped at ep 3 - didn’t think there was a huge pulling factor from the plot itself. Will probably only continue watching bcs I’m curious about what happened to the ML’s mother.
Huge fan of the leads though.
ngl I was attracted to the show based on Junho’s looks that’s it. Shallow and shameless
