Shirasho ( @Shirasho@lemmings.world ) 6•7 months agoI switched everything away from Google and no longer use any of their services. They have a track record of killing off projects and using the data we upload outside of their expected scope. They are in a weird space where I can’t trust them to hold on to my data and I can’t trust them to delete it.
Damage ( @Damage@slrpnk.net ) 3•7 months agoI still use Gmail but 90% of the time it’s through email aliases… sometime in the future I’m going to switch by changing all my redirections.
LinusWorks4Mo ( @LinusWorks4Mo@kbin.social ) 5•7 months agofrankly though, if the data is that much worth to me, the last place I’d rely keeping it safe is big tech
ReversalHatchery ( @ReversalHatchery@beehaw.org ) 3•7 months ago“B… but they are Big Tech! If someone knows what are they doing, it’s them! They must be the safest choice! Also, it’s very convenient, and I have nothing to hide so don’t blabber about privacy to me!”
jonne ( @jonne@infosec.pub ) 3•7 months agoCan’t keep it at home either though. The FBI could come in and take all your shit.
intensely_human ( @intensely_human@lemm.ee ) 1•7 months agoFBI storage is free though
