It’s possible that there are breaks in federation. It could be because of one main reason : Beehaw didn’t send it to mastodon. Now why would that happen?
- It could be that Mastodon blocked it for whatever reason
- It could be that the server crashed and so all federation outwards was lost
- Wait, that happens? Yeah - Lemmy does not keep the federation queue if it crashes. (see: https://github.com/LemmyNet/activitypub-federation-rust/issues/31 )

Just FYI your link is broken (at least for me on jerboa) because of the closing parenthesis.

Just on Jerboa afaict but fixed!

Ouch… that’s a bad one… at least it’s being looked at.
What happened to stuff that’s not federated due to a crash? Will they be permanently unavailable from other instances until this is fixed?

It will likely never be federated because the server doesn’t know what it never sent. If we wanted to fix that as well, it would require to look at every server we federate with and all the messages they could’ve received and if it’s in their database.

Yeah… hope it gets fixed! Having the actual federation work seems like a pretty big deal in a federated network.
