• it’s been a rough decade for nuclear, but i’m glad to see most of the world community still recognize the utility of nuclear energy–and to a lesser extent the necessity of preserving the existing nuclear capacity of the world when it comes to achieving climate goals–if nothing else. it might not be cost effective to build more nuclear capacity at this point, but even with renewables booming shutting down nuclear plants that exist is almost always still replacing a carbon-neutral energy source with carbon-heavy sources.

  • There is no way the world will meet these carbon cap plans without nuclear power. Today’s nuclear technologies (like the plant being built by Bill Gates & company) are so much safer and are incredibly efficient while producing very little waste.

  • Nuclear energy isn’t the problem, greedy corporations trying to cut corners, and the military industrial complex are the problems.

The safer designs for reactors have not even been considered because they cant be used to create nuclear weapons. If we could just get our priorities straight energy would not be a problem.
