The fresh new series of Linux kernel - 6.7.x series was released today. This is one of the largest releases with more than 17,000 non-merge commits and 1000 merges. It also comes with some enticing new features:

  • BPF exceptions mechanism
  • Futex support in io_uring
  • TCP authentication option
  • Initial version of the futex2 API
  • Kernel samepage merging smart scan mode
  • Networking support for the Landlock security module
