very unfortunate to see this go down, and probably in no small part over something as simple as boric being unpopular and voters using it as a proxy vote for how much confidence they have in him. hopefully they can still salvage most of the text and pass it or amend it into the existing constitution; it’s a good document, if on the long side.
I agree that it’s unfortunate to have this constitution be rejected. I hope they will be able to vote on another one in the near future that is just as progressive. Although I don’t quite understand why it was rejected, I heard that the main criticisms were that it’s too long, complex and vague while also reaching too far beyond what a constitution should do.

I’m not well informed on the matter, what are the odds that some things like abortion being declared a constitutional right were breaking points (sadly) ? That’s a question for Chilean people if there are any over here.

given the large margin of failure, any individual part of the constitution probably can’t be singled out as what made it fail. as mentioned in my comment, i think president boric’s unpopularity is also one of the bigger factors, and there was really nothing campaigners could do about that.
