Basically I want to pirate android games that are mainly on google play, I’d get the switch ports but I doubt they’d run well
So, where do I pirate android games safely? Also what about switch games?
Thx

for android apps, the mobilism forum is great, thoughb only questionably safe, I guess. it’s all one click hosters, which sucks, but the apks are usually small enough in filesize to not make it a big deal. Just come armed with a good ad blocker, I guess. You can also try your hand at cracking/patching apps yourself, right on your phone with stuff like lucky patcher
for switch, I’m not sure, they’ll usually be among other gaming torrents on all sorts of trackers in my experience
What are some safe sites. All I need is dead cells and stardew valley

Check the pinned megathread post, should have what you’re looking for.
K, thank you

If you have an unlocked bootloader phone with a working xposed module, see if you can use an app such as Xprivacy to block all the permissions of every pirated app just for good measure. This method bypasses the Google permission system and apps aren’t able to detect blocked permissions this way.
It’s not unlocked sadly

Are there any phone games worth playing? The whole market seems to be saturated with shovelware I’ve given up long ago.
Pretty sure dead cells had an android port, also Terraria and stardew valley

Just my 2 cents, but those are devs that should be supported if possible.
I know, but mainly I’ve bought a copy of Terraria on other platforms and I don’t have means to pay online

Totally valid.

Just FYI, if you really did want to pay for something on the app store, you can usually find gift cards at grocery stores to use, which you can buy with cold hard cash in person. Same with Steam and other digital stores.
Not that I would encourage it. 🤷🏻♂️
Google play gift cards don’t work through Aurora store tho

They already made money hand over fist.
I guarantee they are richer than you will ever be.
- TJDetweiler ( @TJDetweiler@lemmy.ca ) English1•8 months ago
And they deserve it for making great products, which should be supported if possible.
- somethingchameleon ( @somethingchameleon@lemmy.ca ) English0•8 months ago
Yeah, but they already got it.
How much is enough? Lol.
In your mind, nothing. There is no amount of money they can make off of a game that will have you say “it’s okay to pirate it now.”
- TJDetweiler ( @TJDetweiler@lemmy.ca ) English1•8 months ago
You’d want people to pay you for using a product they consume, especially if it’s a quality product. You sound like you’re entitled to free shit just because someone made their “fair share” off a game, and I’m sure that fair share is whatever arbitrary number you deem valid, which I’m guessing is low.
I’m saying, pay developers if you enjoy their stuff, especially indie developers. Vote with your wallet. Make it known you enjoy their stuff, so they make more of it. If you want to pirate, feel free, I encourage it, but also pay people what their worth if you can afford to do so. That’s my main point.
For you, do whatever the fuck you want because you’re not interested in listening to logic or reasoning anyway.

Lol. It’s sad watching people like you twist your brain in knots to avoid admitting when you’re being taken advantage of.
Spend your money how you want :P
- somethingchameleon ( @somethingchameleon@lemmy.ca ) English0•8 months ago
No, not really.
Phones are best for emulating old games if you have a controller.
Otherwise, I’d just read a book on my phone than play a shitty game with touchscreen controls.

I’ve always used rexdl, never had a problem.
For what?
- CaptnNMorgan ( @CaptnNMorgan@reddthat.com ) English8•8 months ago
Is this a troll?
No, just meant to ask what stuff I can find there? Sorry
- CaptnNMorgan ( @CaptnNMorgan@reddthat.com ) English1•8 months ago
But you asked specifically about games, so why not assume that’s what the answer was for?
- ShadowCat ( @ShadowCat@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English1•8 months ago
games and apps, also most games will say “MOD” but you can often download without the mod; the mods are optional.
- Octopus1348 ( @Octopus1348@lemy.lol ) English6•8 months ago
Switch: NXBrew
Android: dFast, Happymod and if you can’t find a modded version of it, try patching with Lucky Patcher.
- SweetMylk ( @SweetMylk@lemm.ee ) English6•8 months ago
You can also try platinmods, it’s a forum, so most likely you have to register to see the links.
I done like making piracy accounts. Thanknyou for suggestion tho

Bruh.
- Zink ( @Zink@pawb.social ) English3•8 months ago
Switch: use nxbrew. They’ve got basically everything.
Hmm. Would I have to update the games myself? That’s one of my switch issues
- Zink ( @Zink@pawb.social ) English3•8 months ago
Yeah, but that’s required anyways for pretty much all switch piracy. Yuzu / Ryujinx make it pretty easy, hut I don’t know how hard it’d be on a switch
Oh, I meant update ROMs, my og hardware is stock
- Zink ( @Zink@pawb.social ) English1•8 months ago
They’ve got most update / dlc nsp files
Nice

For apps you could try Aptoide ig. Idk the state of the app currently but you can look up what people are saying about it in terms of safety etc
