My party has recently murdered the 2 wealthiest people in this capital. Both had huge mansions. Incidentally they were both undead so they got a reward.
Not both houses, just the smaller one. Generally the liege Lord doesn’t allow people to claim his fiefs as spoils for killing nobility.

The BANK OWNS THE HOUSE. The young family you are so pleased to murder pay a mortgage each month.
Also — there’s no sex because of screaming infant.
No intimacy because of overtime.
No free time because of responsibilities.
These so called homeowners don’t even have time to figure out the Fediverse.
Pity them!

It’s always a good time to rewatch Hobo with a Shotgun.
It’s a perfect movie. The title sets up the premise, and the movie delivers exactly what’s promised. If anyone was disappointed, it’s their own fault.

Or in most fantasy settings, just ‘lords’

But the elusive hobo homeowner manages to hide in plain sight.

Okay, hear me out.
The opposite of a murder hobo is a young couple starting a family.
