itsgroundhogdayagain ( @itsgroundhogdayagain@lemmy.ml ) English16•11 months agoWhat kind of math is this?
Norgur ( @Norgur@fedia.io ) 4•11 months agoAn here I thought I could subtract numbers, seems like I was wrong because 254.9-200=-131 apparently
Blaze ( @Blaze@lemm.ee ) English10•11 months agoSuperheroes fatigue definitely kicking in.
Dagwood222 ( @Dagwood222@lemm.ee ) English10•11 months agoSay what you want about Walt Disney as a person, he truly loved telling great stories.
But the people in charge now have no idea what actual creativity looks like.
Lmaydev ( @Lmaydev@programming.dev ) English8•11 months agoI do wonder how good of a statistic box office is nowadays with all the streaming services available.
A lot of people I know just don’t bother with the cinema anymore.
Blaze ( @Blaze@reddthat.com ) English6•11 months agoSad to see Disney celebrating their 100th birthday with Wish, it was quite disappointing.
simple ( @simple@lemm.ee ) English8•11 months agoI can’t get over how they announced it with a paint-like artstyle and then the later trailers trashed the idea and it looked like another generic Disney movie. I hope their movies keep bombing until they realize people are tired of it.
Blaze ( @Blaze@reddthat.com ) English3•11 months agoSame feeling. I hope too, and it seems like they are on track
Jagermo ( @Jagermo@feddit.de ) English5•11 months agoI watched Flash, because somehow I thought it was already the DCEU Reboot. It was shit. Ezra Miller is so annoying in it (and, hearing the stories, everywhere esse in life…). The batman scenes were the only fun parts in that movie.
Dagwood222 ( @Dagwood222@lemm.ee ) English9•11 months agoIn the original comic, the Flash meets Dr. Thomas Wayne. Bruce was killed in the alley, and the father becomes Batman. He builds a casino to get access to the underworld and uses Hourman’s super soldier formula in place of actually training. I was hoping for that story, not just “exactly the same person, but looks completely different.”
Spoilers for "Flashpoint" comic
I thought it was only Bruce that got killed in the alley, and Martha became Joker?
Dagwood222 ( @Dagwood222@lemm.ee ) English2•11 months agoI stand corrected.
Che Banana ( @The_Che_Banana@beehaw.org ) English3•11 months agoYeah so I watched the flash and…surprisingly after the intro scene I…didnt hate it?
I know the main actor has become a meme IRL but his character was the same as the few shows i caught on tv…so…on point?
I don’t know, I’m actually in the mind set that the other DCU fils were such piles of steaming bloody shitfarts to suffer through this one was mildly more enjoyable. Like, having stomach cramps vs being kicked in the balls.
Jagermo ( @Jagermo@feddit.de ) English1•11 months agoI somehow thought it was already a James Gun movie and expected something like The Suicide Squad - which was one of the best DCEU movies, imho
Che Banana ( @The_Che_Banana@beehaw.org ) English1•11 months agoOh yeah, that was good! I keep forgetting it was DC, lol
Blaze ( @Blaze@reddthat.com ) English4•11 months agoHaunted Mansion: why not release it for Halloween?
