Sci-Fi / fantasy is my favorite genre and almost every show they have put out I have liked have not seen all however. Just watched dark matter first two episodes yesterday and they were great.

What ones have you seen and liked?

  • Silo is fantastic. Absolutely incredible show. Rebecca Ferguson is great as the lead.

I enjoyed Foundation, once I accepted it really had nothing to do with the novels outside of some similarly named characters.

I did not enjoy Invasion. Watched the entire first season because it felt like it was building to something, but it never really got there.

  • I’m currently watching Sugar and honestly, I wish it was just a straight up detective noir show instead of having scifi elements. The theme and vibe works so well for noir. I’m about to start Dark Matter. The reviews seem good so far, so let’s see. But to comment on the title, it’s great that a streaming service is making well produced scifi content.

  • Severance is phenomenal (fantastic premise, extremely well-executed)

Silo was great (interesting premise, very similar to Fallout but played seriously, without the bizarreness)

Constellation is good (another parallel universe story, but well done with good acting)

Monarch was meh (terribly-written characters and dialogue, but it ended in an interesting way)

I have not yet watched Dark Matter, but I read the book years ago and enjoyed it quite a bit. That said, there are so many parallel world stories lately that I’m beginning to tire of them.

I have not yet watched Foundation, For All Mankind, Dr. Brain, or the others which are reviewed less favorably.
