I’ve come across semantle before, Not the kind of game I enjoy.
It seems like you might love Simon Tatham’s Puzzles!
I am familiar with his stuff although I usually have enough other puzzles to fill my needs. If you’ve ever used putty as a terminal on windows, Simon Tatham is the developer.
If you want a puzzle challenge, check out puzzles submitted to logic masters There is also gmpuzzles, but there aren’t as many puzzles.
Just looking at it gives me old Popcap nostalgia.
Just wanted to mention there is also !crossword@lemmy.world with a very active mod.
