I want a fiat 500 sized EV, but it costs $50k in Aus. That’s $5k more than an BYD Atto3. Also, never even heard of the 500e, so they haven’t really marketed it very well.
And yet, just across the ditch …

That’s a wild price difference. Its like they don’t want to sell them here.

Was there ever any real demand for any 500?
Price for a much bigger Fiat 600 hybrid is 24k EUR, a Fiat 500e is 30k. You get less range, less space and at current electricity prices you pay more if you charge at home than you would with a if paid for gas for the 600.
Why would anybody want that?! If they were 20k it might be interesting but they want 200% profit margins just because EV and then act surprised nobody wants it. Fuck them.
