The rapid-fire memes and acknowledgment of them being memes made it cringe, IMO. If they’d just dialed it back and said something like this I think it would have been fine:
“Here’s our beautiful thicc girl, Abby! She loves to eat fish and swim with her friends. Come see her at our aquarium any time!”
exactly, i’d have gone with just posting a cute image of the otter and the text “chomnkey floofer 🙏”, but i guess they have too many old people who would just think they’re having a stroke or something.

I thought “thicc” is almost a compliment nowadays.
It does not equal “obese”, and is more like having thick hips and/or generally being a bit more puffy and cuddly. Which is nice, and Internet appreciates it!
