Say “no” to Ubislop! You’ll be happy you did :)
I’m “soft boycotting” Ubisoft. By which I mean they haven’t made a game I’m willing to buy in years…
i took ubis advice.
i am now very comfortable with not owning ubisoft games 😂I haven’t bought a Ubisoft game since the division. And even then I regret getting that.
I loved Steep, so when Rider’s Republic joined GamePass I installed it immediately. Once I saw the interface, the monetization and how almost everything was paywalled, I uninstalled. Not even getting their shit for free makes it a good experience.
A) funny how that works with Steam everytime. “We don’t need Steam” > sales plummet > “Release on Steam in 60 days”
B) I don’t think releasing the game on Steam will save them here, from what I’ve seen it’s just a bad game plain and simple. It will maybe fill the gap a bit but probably not by enough to actually achieve the sales numbers they would like to see.
From what I’ve seen and heard it’s an okay game, just seems like it could be so much more.
Ubisoft is basically a franchise at this point, so companies with IPs can give them to Ubisoft and they’ll make it fit their game formula.
Problem is, even though they might try and tweak it occasionally, that formula is now 12 years old.
It is a good game IMO, but they will have completely missed the hype train by November.
I mean by November they’ll be releasing it around the time of the steam sale event, when everything sells.
Assuming they put the game on sale, and not just try to charge full price.
All that money to pay streamers to hype it up didn’t work?! Who would’ve known?
Now I can not buy it on Steam. :)
What? Not only is it an Ubi game with mediocre reviews, but now you’re telling me it’ll be rushed to PC? Now my heart is all aflutter.
