Pete Hahnloser ( @Powderhorn@beehaw.org ) Deutsch1•2 months agoThat’s certainly an Alternative fuer Deutschland.
FleetingTit ( @FleetingTit@feddit.org ) 2•2 months agoUnfortunately Die Linke is traditionally close to Russia. They are also the predecessor of the PDS which is basically a continuation of the SED, the singular government party of the former German Democratic Republic (east germany).
Pete Hahnloser ( @Powderhorn@beehaw.org ) English2•2 months agoThe former GDR is where AfD sprang from. That it’s now spreading is not great news. I can’t imagine anyone in Hameln wanting a return to that (the rest of Niedersachen, less so), but I’ve not lived there in 30 years, so I don’t exactly have my finger on the pulse of German politics.
Akasazh ( @Akasazh@feddit.nl ) 1•2 months agoIt’s good to have two alternatives the ideologically cancel each other out
