PhobosAnomaly ( @PhobosAnomaly@feddit.uk ) English12•1 month agoI wish I could say I knew what you mean - but I installed Summit on my phone when I joined Lemmy, installed Summit when my phone came back from repair, and installed Summit when I bought my new phone last month.
I am a simple man, and I fuckin’ love Summit yeaaahhh boiiii
edit: link for Android
veroxii ( @veroxii@aussie.zone ) English3•1 month agoReplying with Summit to agree with you that it’s the best. Reminds me of baconreader in the olden days.
Turret3857 ( @Turret3857@infosec.pub ) English5•1 month agoI gotta say as someone who has never used an iPhone, Voyager is absolutely amazing. Before lemmy I was using Infinity for Reddit and it feels relatively similar to me
Kaiserschmarrn ( @Kaiserschmarrn@feddit.org ) English4•1 month agoVoyager seems great but I really couldn’t get used to the iOS UI which is why I ultimately switched to Thunder and I’m loving it so far!
AbsoluteChicagoDog ( @AbsoluteChicagoDog@lemm.ee ) English4•1 month agoFucking casuals I use the mobile website like a man
Dil ( @Dil@is.hardlywork.ing ) English4•1 month agoI find it hard to use anything other than thunder now
TheFrirish ( @TheFrirish@jlai.lu ) English3•1 month agoThunder is good because it has also the material you theme on Android which Voyager doesn’t. I wish Voyager had it because the interface is just great
Dil ( @Dil@is.hardlywork.ing ) English2•1 month agoIt looks like you can get arctic looking pretty similar and its ios native, so prob better performance, im just lazy to switch
MacFearrs ( @MacFearrs@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English3•1 month agoJust switched from Sync to Boost after it started having issues displaying vote counts, and now all my muscle memory is gone
Boost also has a similar issue to Sync where the developer has been inactive for a while.
rarWars ( @rarWars@lemmy.blahaj.zone ) English2•1 month agoWhich is a shame, because I really haven’t found anything similar enough to Boost that’s actively being worked on. The UI for Voyager and Connect just don’t really allow me to use/customize them how I want to.
Viking_Hippie ( @Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English3•1 month agoSpeaking of clients, anyone know of an Android one that has the “add note to user” function other than Boost?
I really miss that function whenever I accidentally engage with certain Dunning Kruger Effect poster boys I’ve wasted time and energy on previously…
Voyager and Thunder have that feature.
Viking_Hippie ( @Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English2•1 month agoI have both of those installed and nope, neither seem to. Unless it’s hidden somewhere I haven’t looked…I sit corrected!
Voyager: You can tap on a profile and hit the 3 dot icon on the top right to “edit tag”, there’s also a pink section that says “user tags” in the settings.
Thunder: long press the user name to have a small context menu pop up then tap on “user” and then hit the last option “add user label”.
Viking_Hippie ( @Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English4•1 month agothere’s also a pink section that say user tags in the settings.
THAT’S what I missed! Thanks! 🫶
Gonna tag you as “Hero” 😁
Zoop ( @Zoop@beehaw.org ) English2•1 month agoConnect does! I use it all the time. I love Connect!
pseudo ( @pseudo@jlai.lu ) English3•1 month agoThat’s how I fell trying to use Voyager. I’m note saying the UI when bad, it wasn’t. I was just lost…
irelephant [he/him]🍭 ( @Irelephant@lemm.ee ) English2•29 days agoI’m so used to the default lemmy ui that I can barely use an alternate client.
MattW03 ( @MattW03@lemmy.ca ) English2•1 month agoI’ve customized my Eternity app ages ago and i’m too lazy to change.
