Valve’s Steam Deck updates to Plasma 6.2.5!
The games console has a slow update cycle to guarantee stability for users, but #Valve announced yesterday that both the #Arch base system and the #Plasma desktop environment are being updated to new preview releases.

Sounds good. I’m happy with plasma 6.xx on my desktop.
It should be noted that this only applies to the preview branch for right now.
I was confused, as I just updated earlier today and my settings said I was still on the old version.
I’m excited for the upgrade to come to stable branch, at the least! :)

My guess is that they had been developing the new version of SteamOS from before 6.3.3 was available and the newest version of Plasma was not ready in time, and that they were always going to prefer to go with something they had stabilised than risking putting a newer, less tested version of Plasma on a commercial device.
